Inventory management can sometimes be overlooked in a booming market and inefficiencies in planning processes can often lead to excess inventory. ALBA provides inventory management services for operators that want to reduce their OCTG stock and ultimately their total cost of ownership. The general process that we work through is as follows:
- Meet with the client to discuss stock levels and
budget constraints in terms of cost recovery
and timing.
- Inspection of the tubulars in the yard with a scope
agreed with client.
- Identification of the material that is prime and the
material that is rejected due to damage or lack
of traceability.
- Repairing rejected material where possible and
setting aside scrap material.
- Assessing with the client whether the prime
material can be utilized in future wells either locally
or within global operations.
- Managing the disposal of prime and scrap material
throughout our global network, recovering as much
cost as possible on the assets and within the agreed
time frame set by our client.
We offer technical consultancy services in collaboration with one of our partners, primarily aimed at Oil, Gas and Geothermal operators who require assistance with OCTG selection for their wells. Our focus is on operators drilling in demanding applications, where we can assist with both material and premium connection selection as well as advising on suitable manufacturers of these products.
