OCTG STOCK

 

Our core background is the steel tubular business and we assist with both the disposal and supply of OCTG products.  Our focus is on high end, specialized products that include sour service carbon, chrome and nickel alloy pipe with premium connections.

 

Our inventory is purchased from Oil, Gas & Geothermal operators who often have remnant pipe leftover after concluding drilling operations. We understand that the objective of the operator is to recover as much cost as possible on all assets and we meet to discuss budget constraints and the required time frame for the disposal.

We also assess if the pipe can be used in other locations where the operator has future drilling activity.

 

In case our client wants to dispose of its inventory within

a short time frame, we carry out an inspection and identify the pipe that can be sold as prime material as well as the pipe that will have to be sold to the secondary or scrap market as a result of lost traceability or damage that cannot be repaired.  We then put together a competitive proposal that includes the disposal of all the surplus pipe held in our client’s stock yard.

 

If time frame is not a factor and our client prefers to try and recover more on its assets we provide a brokering service whereby we market the material on behalf of the operator

to our extensive global network.  Once we find a suitable buyer, we broker the deal between the two companies.

This service gives flexibility to our clients however takes more time and is dependent on market conditions and client expectations on price levels.
